Our Let’s Talk sessions are here to help you when you are feeling isolated. We help you to feel connected and supported. By participating, you will learn to open up and express your thoughts. That helps you feel less alone and more empowered to engage with life. We help you connect with the outside world without the fear of getting judged.
WHEN FEELING MISREAD
Struggling to communicate or feeling like others don’t truly “get” you. It can be deeply challenging. Our Let’s Talk sessions are here to help you when you are feeling misread or misunderstood and struggle to communicate with others. Our facilitators encourage open dialogue, helping you express yourself with confidence. Let’s Talk offers a judgment-free space to be your authentic self.
WHAT TO EXPECT FROM A LET'S TALK SESSION?
Loneliness meaning, feeling alone or disconnected, even when surrounded by people. It’s a sense of emptiness or longing for meaningful connections. It can happen when you feel misunderstood, isolated, or lack close, meaningful relationships. It makes you feel emotionally distant or unsupported.
Social isolation is when someone has little or no contact with others, often feeling cut off from society. It can happen due to living alone, a lack of friends, or avoiding social activities due to some past trauma. Eventually, it leads to disconnection from society.
Social withdrawal is when someone chooses to avoid social interactions and pulls back from relationships or activities. It can stem from feeling shy, anxious, or overwhelmed, leading to isolation and a lack of connection with others. Another of the most common reasons for social isolation is personal loss or trauma. It often causes loneliness.
WHAT NOT TO EXPECT FROM AN EMOTIONAL SUPPORT SESSION?
Social phobia is an intense fear of social situations, like speaking or meeting new people. You worry about being judged or embarrassed, which can make you avoid others, feel anxious, and become isolated. Social phobia often leads to loneliness and discomfort.
Social anxiety is feeling nervous or scared in social situations, like talking to people or being in familiar crowds. It can make you worry about being judged or embarrassed, leading to avoidance of social events and even family gatherings. Social anxiety leads to feelings of isolation or loneliness.
Emotional support is when someone listens, cares, and helps you feel understood during tough times. It’s like a friend offering kind words or a hug, making you feel less alone and more comforted when you are sad, stressed, or upset. Emotional support is not traditional mental health counseling and not a substitute of psychiatric treatment.
A loneliness epidemic is when many people feel lonely and disconnected from each others in society. It happens due to less meaningful social interaction due to busy professional lives, or overindulgence in technology. Presently, it is causing widespread feelings of isolation, sadness, and a lack of meaningful relationships in a large number of people.
