Resource Owls was not created as a business idea on paper.
It was shaped through years of real conversations.

The journey began in 2019 under the name Smiling Rainbow — a community-driven emotional support initiative. What started as a small effort gradually grew into hundreds of monthly calls. Over time, more than 3000+ confidential conversations were conducted across diverse life situations.

People were not calling for advice.
They were calling because they felt unheard, overwhelmed, conflicted, or emotionally exhausted.

Through this experience, one clear insight emerged:

Emotional support must be structured.
And for it to remain sustainable, it must also be valued.

While the original initiative served an important purpose, it became clear that a free model could not support long-term depth, boundaries, and quality. After nearly five years of consistent work, the platform evolved.

Resource Owls was born from that evolution.

Today, it operates as a structured, confidential, and sustainable space for individuals who seek clarity — not counselling, not diagnosis, but a thinking chamber where complex thoughts can be unpacked responsibly.

About the Founder

The platform is founded and operated by a professional with a Master’s degree in Human Resources and Social Work, and over 70 months of structured 1-to-1 emotional conversation experience.

Across thousands of calls, the work has involved navigating themes such as:

  • Workplace pressure

  • Family tension

  • Ethical dilemmas

  • Loneliness and life transitions
